Google Earth is a free geospatial app that enables the user to view the entire world from their computer or device. Using satellite imagery, aerial photography and 3D terrain data, Google Earth creates a virtual globe, allowing users to zoom in on any location on planet Earth, from popular landmarks to remote corners of the planet. It includes tools such as Street View for exploring places on the ground level, three-dimensional models of buildings and historical imagery for seeing how places have changed over the years. Google Earth is already used for education, travel planning, environmental research and even personal curiosity. There is a treasure trove of knowledge available on it, that can help us learn about Earth in a way that is more straightforward and engaging.
